Mom Time – Go To The Beach
It’s just about that time, Mom, when you can plan on spending a day by yourself. Where? Spend it at the beach, of course. With summer fast approaching, and with all of the time you have spent indoors, it’s mom time – go to the beach and enjoy your day alone.
Whether you bring a book you’ve wanted to read, or bring a radio or a portable CD with your favorite music, this is your day and you can indulge in whatever makes you happy.
Remember to bring enough suntan lotion, a hat, and sunglasses. Pack up a lunch with all of your favorite goodies and bring plenty of water or juice, a blanket, perhaps a lounge chair and hit the road. It seems ages since you’ve had a day to yourself, right? Well, now that you have it, enjoy every warm wonderful moment of it.
Whether you choose a day during the week to avoid the massive crowds, or whether you choose a Saturday, you’ll need to have someone watch the kids for the day. Certainly, a family member is available to help you during the week, and your husband can watch them on Saturday.
You know, often times as moms we think we don’t need downtime and that after putting the kids to bed reading a good book is all we need. The fact is getting out of the house and into a different environment can make a world of difference. For just one day you can make decisions that affect you and you only. What an exhilarating feeling that is.
Go to the beach and swim to your heart’s desire. It’s not only great exercise, but lets out all of the pent-up stresses you’ve been holding inside. Mom time is a rare occurrence, don’t you agree? Well, go out and buy a brand new swimsuit and go to the beach. It’s time. No, more importantly, it’s mom time.
