Mom Time – Schedule A Mom’s Weekend

Okay moms, you have been working very hard taking care of the kids and the house. It’s time to schedule a mom’s weekend to indulge your every whim. Do you have something special you would like to do? If not, here are some suggestions to help you plan ahead for this special occasion.

First, if you plan to take a mini weekend vacation, you will need to make reservations well in advance. Perhaps a spa weekend in another city would suit you, or maybe a weekend at a resort would be more desirable. You have two options: You can either book your getaway weekend package online, or visit your friendly travel agent. Here’s another tip: Make your plane reservations on a Wednesday, as this is the day of the week most airlines change their rates. You can really grab a great bargain. Ensure your passport is updated, especially if you are traveling to an island.

Next, you’ll need to go shopping for a swimsuit and attire for your trip. This shouldn’t be too much to handle. Have your hubby watch the kids on a Saturday afternoon while you take a trip to the mall. Make sure you have all of the necessities for your trip such as suntan lotion, sunglasses, and colorful outfits for the day, comfortable walking shoes, and perhaps two outfits for the evening. Ah, can you visualize the blue and green ocean yet? Think about dining under the stars, while being catered to by handsome hotel staff members.

Okay, back to reality. Make sure the kids and your husband will have enough food for the weekend. You can prepare meals ahead of time, put them in containers, and label them. All your husband has to do it heat everything up. Shouldn’t be too hard a task, right?

Now that you have everything you need, before you pack make sure you go online to obtain the regulations being enforced by the airline. The procedures on how to pack for a vacation are listed on all of the airline sites.

Your bags are packed, you’re ready to go. Well done! Have a safe journey and remember, indulge, indulge, and indulge.
